The Celtic Warrior Wedding Bands are based upon the Ardagh Chalice, one of the finest pieces of eighth century metalwork ever discovered. Its beauty is on a par with the Book of Kells.
The Chalice is assembled from 354 individual pieces, and is currently on display at the National Museum of Ireland. It was found by two boys digging in a field in 1868.
