The Celtic Warrior Wedding Bands are based upon the Ardagh Chalice, one of the finest pieces of eighth century metalwork ever discovered. Its beauty is on a par with a Book of Kells.
The Chalice is assembled from 354 individual pieces, and is currently on display at the National Museum of Ireland. It was found by two boys digging in a field in 1868.
